Sun and showers with a lovely light in the evenings

Found cottage on the edge of The Loch of Karbister.
Ceremony of the keys
No keys
Many phone calls to local ‘key keeper’ and owner.
Eventually a key keeper’s family turned up, with wrong keys.
We headed off back to Kirkwall. Straight into the arms of
the nearest tea shop
Which was quite wonderful. Cake (lots) tea (lots) and outside
a vintage car rally.
We a micro tour of the cathedral and then booked up for a
major tour on Thursday. Much to do and learning to do without the Internet is
character building.
