DON'T LOOK NOW: A HEFFALUMP TRAP

I recently read a brilliant piece in The New York Times Magazine by Sam Anderson about blind contour drawing - drawing without looking at the paper. I have given it a try and find the results curious and exhilarating.

With bits of the woodland floor added
Walking Rosie in Hogback Wood a wonderful place five minutes from the house has provided opportunities to try this out.  it is becoming a creative habit!

  1. Life is so strange. I only discovered this wood in Beaconsfield 4 days ago, having lived here 28 years. Around the same time I wondered how you were doing - I miss the library sessions, but have kept on experimenting with painting during Lock down. I found your card this morning ... first picture I see, Hogback Wood. I remember Heffalump trap.. a favourite with my daughter. Hope you are all good. More from Wales please, I miss it too.
