Private Beaches are all the rage in Scourie

Sun, low water, and the Curlew cries a welcome.

White sands, small shells and cheerful gulls, it is high summer and hardly a soul about.

Around the corner, by ferry, is the island of Handa, a nature reserve and home to a large seabird colony: puffins, skuas, guillemots and razorbills.

The Scourie area is world famous for its very special rocks and geology, when you are here you are in the cradle of Geology.
