Dancing Beeches

This time of year you see trees at their very best. No distracting foliage, unclothed every tree is free to dance on the woodland floor.

These two arthritic beech trees pirouetted in front of me, on my ride through Burnham Beaches the other day. Many trees on this dance floor are several hundred years old and the place teems with wildlife, there are more sixty rare species of plants and animals in residence in this special piece of Buckinghamshire.
