This was a working trip, so aside from the
morning walk before the flight home all recreation was confined to the evenings and
the sampling of good beer.

On two evenings we enjoyed Spencer Devon
Brewing on George Street.
I’d agree they “bring the exploration of craft beer creation to downtown Fredericksburg”. Great beer, super food and a relaxed place to spend an evening; recommended is their Bitter Sweet IPA.

Fredericksburg is a delightful place. And it
will be even more so a few weeks hence when The Fall approaches.
This is a town that affords a particularly different perspective of the USA. There are few tall buildings, instead, there are quiet, tree-lined streets turning towards autumn and a warm welcome.
