BBC radio and television is absolutely festooned with Dylan
Thomas offerings today and over the weekend with it being the Centenary of his
birth.
Watching A poet in New
York (catch it on iPlayer) I'm put mind of a trip we made, in 2003, to the
boathouse in Laugharne, Carmarthenshire where he did much of his last work.
Right next to the Boathouse we stood and looked out over the River Taf’s
estuary at low water, with the last of a fragile orange sun reflected on the
mud and waters.
